I always thought it was a lovely and balanced design. If you look at the German TC Taunus (same platform), you can see the Mk IV Cortina (a.k.a. Taunus II) doors present from 1970—especially the wagon. Really weird for us antipodeans seeing the Mk IV silhouette with early 1970s’ chrome bumpers.
