Is this a comment on the U.S. Auto industry? When I saw this near new rental car I thought the number plate was falling off.

But no! It was perfectly secure and screwed firmly into the somewhat haphazardly placed mounting holes. Not exactly "The Toyota Way", all that precision manufacturing let down by a man with a number plate and a drill...
