I started reading Car mag's regularly about the late 70's & fondly remember Car Magazine's Good, Bad & Ugly section. It's three sentence reviews slammed some - lots - of junk cars with cutting comments. I still remember one for a Cadillac (can't remember which model, but it could be any):
Summary: "As flash as a rat with a gold tooth" *
I still buy Car every month and think it's probably the best International auto mag but the paper version has no GBU. They do have a GBU section on their website but the layout is awful for browsing so I sent this via the website email contact;
Hi,
Was just discussing the “Old” Car with a friend and bemoaning the lack of a GBU section in the current one. I was pleased to find it on-line but wonder why you’ve made it such a dismal experience to browse. While it’s fine to get detail on one model clicking into several screens means scanning the GBU, for laughs, like the old paper one isn’t pleasant.
The Car GBU GBU
For: Some of the comments are great
Against: Finding them is impossibly tiresome.
Summary: Send this section back to the design team
Suggest you expose this level of detail on the main page;

Yes it would be long, but at least you’d be able to read it.
Regards,
I wonder if it will have any impact
* The only web reference I could find for the origin of "As flash as a rat with a gold tooth" indicate it's an Aussie slang term. There were a number of Aussie Writers & Editors at Car which may explain how it got there.
