I'm going to miss George. People who think the way he thought cannot be very happy people. You've got to be looking at life and people and always coming to the conclusion "we're doomed. We're like the Dodo bird, we're either going to kill ourselves or we're going to die of stupidity as a species." Jees, I'm getting depressed just contemplating his mental processes.
He paid a price so the rest of us could laugh at ourselves. I didn't agree with most of his politics and indeed most of his conclusions, but he did make me laugh at my own cow-like tendency to follow the herd.
