A fix to keep the Windows Phone @HERE Drive+ app there

I really like the HERE Drive+ GPS application on my Nokia phones. Although I usually know where I’m going I run it all the time for traffic and speed limit reminders. Recently swapping from Drive+ to any other app, even dismissing an incoming call, would cause it to close as it reappeared full screen. This was annoying as the destination and acquired traffic info were missing when it relaunched. I tried removing and reinstalling the Drive+ app alone but that didn’t help. 11th Anniversary, blogging to the roof of the world

The end of March means it is blog’iversary time again. Eleven years since my first tentative post. If anyone is to blame, and thank, for all this it is Shaan Hurley. I read his Between the Lines AutoCAD blog before I really knew what a blog was. It prompted me to think about doing my own and he suggested trying TypePad. It made blog management & hosting simple. AutoCAD 2016 already? I’m just getting used to 2015!

Time flies. I’ve only been using the 2015 release full time for a few months* and 2016 arrives! Shaan shared a link to a YouTube playlist with highlights of the new release. Check it out while you download the install from your new Autodesk Account (formerly Subscription) page! I did have some warning, seen but not used the beta, and like the look of the new simpler rendering, enhanced point cloud features and BIM coordination using Navisworks linking or BIM 360 Glue integration. * My travels and workflow around projects delayed it rather than any technical or product concerns!
