A recent Blads blog post highlights that Autodesk University 2010 (early) registration opens in August. Although “November 30 through December 2” seems a long way off it’s never too early to think about planning for Autodesk University. I’m planning to attend this time, somehow, but will be going the “wrong way or the long way” to get there.
There is another event I want to attend and the organisers have brilliantly scheduled “The Amaz!ng Meeting Australia” (TAMOz) to run from November 26-28 in Sydney. That gives me just enough time to attend TAMOz then get over to Vegas for AU. Happily airfares via Sydney aren’t much different to going direct so that’s not a factor. The only downside is the return journey will likely have to be via Sydney, meaning 20-22 hours, but it’s worth the hassle.
Imagine a few days with a galaxy of Skeptic stars, including James Randi, followed by the CAD geekfest of learning, connecting and exploring that is AU! To me that is two amazing meetings.
TAM Australia registration starts next week which is why I’m getting organised for it now!
TAM AUSTRALIA - tam.asnevents.com.au
TAM, the Amaz!ng Meeting, is the biggest get-together in the Skeptical universe, and in November 2010, TAM comes to Australia. TAM features the best and most interesting, humorous and controversial Skeptics from around the world, and TAM Australia will be the largest event of its kind ever held here. TAM Australia will be held from November 26-28 at the Sydney Masonic Centre in Sydney, Australia.

AU 2010 will be here before you know it, so start planning now to attend. Each year, the Autodesk University (AU) User Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas brings together thousands of Autodesk enthusiasts from around the world to learn, network, and celebrate the power of Autodesk technology and the international AU community.
This year's conference will take place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas from November 30–December 2, 2010. We know you will find this annual event extremely valuable, and you will have a great time too.
UPDATE 2010-06-18: I discovered the correct abbreviation for TAM Australia is TAMOz (not TAMAu!). Now have Twitter searches for #AU2010 and #TAMOZ for the latest news on both events.
