The AutoCAD User Group International (AUGI) AGM was held in the huge main presentation room at the Dolphin. It was well attended (more than 1500) and there were some important announcements for all members and, maybe, your local user group.
2006 brings a new look AUGI. A new logo was unveiled and it now appears on the re-launched website. During the year AUGI will work towards developing specific programs for different disciplines and industries and establishing country chapters around the world. These country chapters will interface with local user groups.

Yoshi Honda, 2002 & 2005 President & member of the B.O.D for six years, recounted how the organisation has grown from a North American to truly international group in his farewell. He leaves the organisation in great hands poised for further growth.
AUGI Beer Bust? It's an Autodesk University tradition that the AUGI AGM is followed by the AUGI Beer Bust. Held in the exhibit hall it's a great chance to catch up with lots of people, attendee's and vendors, as it was the first “social event” everyone is together.
International Reception: AUGI held other events including a special meeting for international (outside US) members. It was great and I was disappointed I had to sneak out early to attend another meeting. You can read about this and more in the AUGI at AU 2005 Review.
