I first saw MindManager when it was used, by Hugh Bathurst, as a brainstorming/notation tool to run an excellent CAD Productivity conference I attended. Having seen it in action I had to get a copy and purchased my own. It’s a great tool for any kind of planning, brainstorming or documentation.
At work I have used it to;
· Plan projects & document meetings
· Create Intranet content (Help & CAD Standards files)
· Document travel contacts (email, photos and weblinks combined then exported to intranet)
For home I have used it to plan a holiday. It allowed assembly of an itinerary with linked websites, email contacts, booking confirmation emails, and packing/to do list. All this was easy to assemble as the trip was planned & booked. For use as a reference while travelling I exported the “map” to Html and carried it on my key ring USB drive. This could be referenced on any PC with a USB connection & a web browser. Its a great way to combine & carry many different forms of information.
It’s a great piece of software. Have a look at the Mindjet Website for more on MindManager
