Approaching "The Rock"

The distance from the dock to the cellhouse at the top of the island is about 1/4 mile, the elevation change is 130 feet (equivalent to a thirteen story climb).
This caused much complaint from those on the boat I was on, then they said there was no food available on the Island.
I was surprised there wasn't a mutiny!
