Western cycle path improvements, under Patiki

Nice to see the new Patiki underpass open. This replaces an over-head bridge; narrow, steep and bumpy. The underpass looked quite low, tight, during construction but the final result is a nice open swoop under the Patiki interchange. Pity they haven’t done the same at Carrington Rd and St Lukes! Mercer Bay loop walk

Evening walk on the Mercer Bay loop. Out near Piha, turn left at the top of the hill. Awesome sheer cliffs with Tasman Ocean views.
