Pat Metheny Group have an updated website and it's come with a bonus for US readers. The wonderful Upojenie which combines Polish singer Anna Maria Jopek's vocals with Pat Metheny Group tunes is now available in the US. Previously it was an import only title, which is how I got it way back in 2005 after 'Bugman' Rudd Kleinpaste played it.
You can hear previews on the site but to be honest the short clips don't do the long format building themes of Pat Metheny's material much favour.
It's in Polish but don't let that put you off. Even though I don't understand them Anna's vocals just add another texture and work wonderfully with the tunes. Recommended.
