ZoneAlarm + Microsoft's DNS patch = No Internet

So that’s why my Internet was stopping after a few minutes. Blocked net meant finding the solution, to blocked net, was a bit of a pain. Installed the ZA patch and all is well again.

It was weird because the net connection took a while to die. My machine would boot, mailwasher would get email info from the server, even Mesh would update some files then at some stage everything stopped. I have an old machine on another firewall/av, till it expires, an used that to find the answer. Maybe it's a good argument to spread your services!

BTW: Upon reconnecting I got an apology email from ZA but, like everything, you needed an Internet connection to get that!

Same thing happened to me...thanks for making me aware of the patch. I just did what it describes, downgrading the internet settings till it worked but still strange that it worked fine the night before. Now I know why! Cheers!
