The spectacular nature of the carousel demanded a special home and that's just what it got. A stunning, eye-catching pavilion of steel and glass was designed to house the ride, its steam engine and the large band organ. And it was given the perfect location, beside Steampacket Quay on Waterfront Geelong.
The custom-made pavillion has been recognised for its design excellence, winning the 2002 Victorian Architectural Award for its architects, McGlashan Everist
